Objectives:


  1. Participants will come away with a working definition for bullying and a clear picture of its effects on students.
  2. Participants will come away with an effective skill set for dealing with bullying, and supporting students involved in bullying situations.
  3. Add to your toolbox of teaching ideas.

  1. In what ways can a classroom environment be constructed to discourage bullying and bias-based incidents? Using the assessment tool that you downloaded, what's been successful regarding bullying prevention, and how can your classroom be improved?
  2. How do you feel the Tribes process ties into the ideas discussed above? What Tribes strategies can specifically combat bullying, both proactively and reactively? Please provide examples.
